    Our Fire & Security Engineers take responsibility for maintaining Fire & Security systems in line with customer requirements and current standards. They deliver a first-class customer service to our valued clients ensuring that work is completed to an exceptional standard.

    What are we expecting from our Apprentices?

    The core focus of the role is to assist in routine maintenance/installation of small works, callouts and standby on Intruder, CCTV, Access control and Fire Alarms, whilst completing your qualification. (All Apprentices will be accompanied by a Qualified Engineer until deemed competent to operate as a lone worker). Apprentices will be required to work alongside a competent Engineer and assist with the following duties.
     
    • Maintaining fire alarm, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems to the highest standards, representing the engineering face of the Chris Lewis Group.
    • Carrying out routine services of fire and intruder alarm systems.
    • Provide detailed information to enable accurate quoting of chargeable works.
    • Maintain impeccable conduct and deliver the highest standard of customer service.
    • Keep concise and accurate records of work completed.
    • Complete your Fire & Security Systems Qualification.

    Your qualification and course

    • To become a full-qualified Fire & Security Engineer, you will learn both on the job, whilst studying across a 3-year course.
    • The educational course operates in block releases, 1 week for each block release.
    • There will be 14 block releases across the 3-year period where you will attend college during those weeks.
    • To complete your Level 3 End Point Assessment (EPA), you will be required to pass a theory and practical exam.

    Who we are looking for

    For this opportunity, we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:
    • Exemplary in conduct and appearance, possessing excellent communication skills and an inner drive to always deliver the highest standards.
    • Qualified to A Level or BTEC. An Electrical qualification or similar would be an advantage but not mandatory.
    • A meticulous, thorough approach is required to ensure attention to detail is maintained.
    • Flexibility, Adaptability and Reliability are vital attributes.
    • The applicant will be a self-motivated with the ability and desire to manage their workload and course work efficiently, meeting deadlines and achieving all targets.
    • Driving Licence may be required in some instances (largely dependent upon location) however, this isn’t always mandatory and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
    • Applicants need to be at least 17 years of age
