    A little about you

     
    This is a new role for a technical individual demonstrating strong capabilities in front-line management to lead the Fire, Security and Smart Home engineering installation team and take direct responsibility for workmanship, skills, training, discipline and timekeeping, welfare and personal development.
     
    Ideally, you will have a proven track record of managing engineers, ensuring that their daily and long-term needs are met. You will need to demonstrate experience of site supervision and engineering delivery in a projects or service role., together with your own personal commitment to, and ownership of, results.
     
    The role will take direct responsibility of the engineering delivery and quality to meet the exceptionally high standards expected of the Chris Lewis brand and in particular safety critical engineering delivery

    Key responsibilities for this role

     
    • To manage the engineering resource day to day to provide a quality of service to the customer second to none ensuring we deliver a high level of workmanship and develop upon existing processes to ensure we have oversite of our product including the use of tools such as Fieldwire and CASH.
    • Provide technical solutions both proactively and reactively to ensure we deliver first time for our clients.
    • Work closely with the project managers to ensure we proactively plan installations that meet both the client and business needs, ensuring that we deliver against our specification and that we prepare relevant handover documentation in preparation for future maintenance.
    • Develop a continuous improvement plan by managing engineer performance, data and process
    • To ensure that rotation/management of stock delivers the required amount commensurate to the business. Maintain standards in line with company policy to ensure this department delivers the correct amount of equipment to engineering in a timely/positive manner
    • Experience of implementing the working standards and current legislation in day-to-day work.

    Experience

     
    • Proven track record of proactively managing engineers, ensuring that daily and long-term needs are met.
    • Health and safety qualifications SSSTS or similar.
    • Experience of site supervision and engineering delivery in a projects or service role
